My introduction to music began at the age of 8 when I began taking piano lessons from a neighbor lady. I really enjoyed playing the piano until the age of 12 when I discovered the drums. I spent the next 7 years playing rock and roll in a band called the Authorized Version. My first gigs were played in neighborhood bars at the age of 13, but we finally played much better places with much larger audiences.
After finishing college, I stopped playing music for 40 years. I joined the Air Force where I spent the next 20 years; I then went on to spend the next 21 years in the FAA. I finally retired for good at the age of 62. I picked up the guitar at the age of 63 and played lead guitar for the MayBees for 5 years. I picked up the bass at the age of 66 and found that to be very enjoyable. I LOVE playing music and would play every night of the week .
